I'm really looking forward to "Visions of Mana". My favorite gaming mag that's still in print (well - it's the only gaming mag still in print here in Germany) had a nice interview and preview about the game where the devs stated that the Trials of Mana remake was their idea of how a modern Mana game should look like. So that really looks promising.

Haccan did the art again, and we added some official images to our Seiken art gallery.

Of course, the images have been tuned up in quality and had their background removed :)

Thanks to some valuable feedback from a good friend, I reworked the "Best versions" article from Breath of Fire 2 a little.

First, the SNES game can't be purchased officially anymore on the WiiU and 3DS consoles.

But now, it's available on the Nintendo Switch.

Anyway, that didn't change the verdict but the article is now online here!

Today I reviewed Lufia: Ruins of Lore.

And as much as i subjectively dislike its predecessor, I like this game - even if it, objectively, is only a "good" game.

I added some artwork from Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes to the corresponding gallery.

Being a backer, I started the game and began playing. It's nice and has - expectedly - lots of Suikoden feeling, yet after three hours of playing, the game hasn't really kicked for me up until now.

I'll surely give it more of a chance when I have time to play, but as it stands now with the wonky visuals on the Switch version and a cast of characters that just didn't connect with me until now, I'm not sure if it can be the new "Suikoden" game I craved for.
